But I would say in preparing yourself for growth theres an intentional action around putting yourself in uncomfortable situations to build that muscle, callouses, whatever you want to call it, that helps become more adaptable. Ive been around the block a few times. You were a part of them. Or Ive heard this before, I dont know why I am this way. Well, you are the way you are because thats the way, hang on, you want to be. I think what I feel like Johns talking about here, is if you dont have skill sets to go along with the strengths, if you dont have rigors and disciplines to go along with the word, then its going to sound nice but youre not going to see that tangible momentum. You see, most people that live by assumption. The second reason is common language. I want feedback. That began a growth journey that I havent seen in you in a long time. Now, why did I say all that today? John says, Hey, were going to make a commitment. You did the reflection. Man, they were about 12 or 13 of them. The third thing is now beginning to work with a team of people on whats going to happen as a desired outcome from that change. This is it. There are several factors that can attribute to emerging as a leader. What was interesting is I still could come back and say, Our common problem was momentum.. Were talking about it to you here today. Heres what George said. Thats accountability. Were talking about it to our team.
